Motor Mount Replacement Question

Sorry in advance for the stupid question...

This motor mount needs to be replaced right?

I bought this wreck and I'm a noob making my way through getting it trail worthy.

1997 TJ 4.0

I'm getting a real loud "clunck" when in drive. When in neutral and moving down a hill it does not clunk. I'm guessing replacing this motor mount is a good place to start.

Am I on the right path?

Yah it is torn and deformed, what sort of wreck was it in?

Yeah it's time for sure. Make sure you go with Mopar motor mounts. If you can't find Mopar as they're getting harder to find, just make sure what you choose has rubber bushings and not polyurethane.

Those motor mounts are shot and they would absolutely make a clunking sound.

200k miles so whether the wreck exacerbated the mount failure or not it was time to replace either way.

It was in a front end wreck with a guard rail is the story I got. No frame damage. Engine, trans and 4x4 worked good and I got it for a song so I couldn't pass it up.

it is going to be a dedicated trail rig now. No more road trips for this old gal.

I've enjoyed piecing it back together. I wish now I had photo journaled it.

I've used Anchor brand motor mounts with good results. Only around $20 each.
