Hello all! I am planning on replacing several parts on my TJ (1999 Sahara, 4.0L, auto transmission).

There are several parts that I need some help to choose from.

1. Motor mount

I did some research online and it seems that most people on the forum are recommending M.O.R.E: https://mountainoffroad.com/products/bomb-proof-motor-mount-kit-yj-tj-xj. In general, I always follow whatever people recommend here (thanks to all!). But I am wondering why not the OEM motor mount? Will M.O.R.E give me more vibration compared to the OEM ones?

2. Transmission mount

So the OEM trans mount is recommended here. My question is that do auto and manual trans use the same mount? Can anyone confirm that 52058551AB will fit an my auto trans?

3. Radiator

I intend to stay with Mopar since that seems to be only one accepted here. As always, I trust everyone's judgement here. I believe this is the radiator for my TJ: 5102983AA. Now, the price is getting a bit ridiculous for this one. Alternatively, there is 55037653AB. Is it correct that this one will fit my TJ and I just have to get adapters for it? Can anyone confirm this? Or is there any other Mopar radiator that I can use here?

Thanks so much for your help!!!

To answer your questions:
  1. I would suggest keeping the stock motor mounts and just going with a motor mount spacer lift like these ones. That's all you need, nothing more, nothing less.

  2. Yes, the transmission mount is the same.

  3. I talked with Blaine about the radiator deal and the multiple different part numbers. He has worked on so many different TJs over the years that I figured of anyone, he would know. He told me in so many words that all the radiators should be interchangeable and that the only major difference is that radiators for manual transmission vehicles didn't have the provision at the bottom for the transmission cooler (necessary for automatics). So you could put a factory radiator from an automatic into a manual and you just wouldn't use the bottom portion of it where the transmission cooler lines go, but you couldn't do it the other way around and use a manual transmission on an automatic, as it wouldn't have the lower provision for the cooler. Does this make sense? Case in point, I bought a transmission for my 2006 TJ which I then sold. However, I replace it with a 2003 TJ, and looking at the radiator (which I still have) it looks like it should fit into my 2003 without any issue at all. They look identical basically.

Hi Chris! Thank you so much for that response (and so many previous ones that I learned from lol).

1. For the motor mount, what are the benefits of getting a lift instead of just getting a factor replacement?

2. Thanks! That is good to know.

3. So basically I can find any radiator that fits any year's auto trans model and it should work?

Thanks again! I really appreciate your help.
