So it has to start somewhere.
First off:
Jeep TJ, 2,5 located in Norway, so if spelling is off, sorry.
I bought it for $11k with plans of doubling down. So far i am within budget but, its getting there.
Stuff thus far:
She sits on 35`s and was riding around on a 3,73 gear ration ( Dana 35/30)
- So she got a rear gear to 5,13 front and rear.
- The the rear spring mounts(upper) were rusted OFF the frame, so they had to be replaced.
- When in Rome:
* We also changed out all brake lines and gaslines. ( they also had rust.)
* Changed radiator as it was leaking.
* Did some frame rebuild.
* A ton of frame repair in spots.
- A lot of noise coming from transfer case, changed a bearing. Better, but not 100%.
- I now have a functional DEFA system.
- installed Subwoofer under rear seats.
PLANS GOING FORWARDS
- New Double din 10" screen with Carplay [ INSTALLED ]
- RC Seat covers ( black) [Installed]
- New driver side front fender ( had rust ) [ Bought, waiting for raptor time ]
- New lower rear spring mounts [Bought, waiting for a V8 engine swap]
- Side steps [Bought, not installed]
- Speedometer calibration gear [Bought, waiting delivery]
- Raptor coat (RAL 6006 outside/ Black inside ) [Bought, waiting for warmer weather]
- Foot well lighting and maybe some other areas inside cabin. [Bought, waiting raptor coat ]
- Central locking.
- Fix and mount the soft top.
- Installed ISO-FIX for my partner in crime.
Thinking it might be possible to MIST the RAL 6006 with black raptor to create a nice black on green effect.
Change front passanger wheel bearing as there is a lound flight ish sound when turning towards passenger side while driving.
Continue breaking in the new gear ratio.. 500 frakin` miles, takes forever in 15-20miles trips.
I went nuts on EBAY and ALIEXPRESS so there will be a lot of small updates going forwards.
Other plans
Buy a TAHOE LM7/4l60E and do a engine/tranny swap. ( computer, radiator and wiring ) and create a V8 frankenTJ
