Need Cooling Help for Hemi Swap

I'm betting it'd be a BLAST. I'd like to drive one of the supercharged 392 Gladiators.......

I have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast... You want me to remember something from 50 years ago?

The guy I'm buying the Hemi LJ from is looking at an AMW as its replacement. He's probably two years out, but man.....the planning of that build would be so much fun, and then the reality of driving it. Sigh......

My friend has a Hemi powered (plus much more) Jeep for sale if anyone is looking for one.

LJs came with hoodliners from the factory, but it's not an OEM hood.
Design Engineering Inc make a nice adhesive backed hood liner material that you can cut to fit the AEV hood. These folks make the Boom Mat for our hardtops.

A bit of "egg-crate" sound deadening foam along the top of the dash seals out quite alot of engine bay noise as well. When you pull out the defrost dash panel, there is a pocket along the firewall where you can stuff this. I was surprised how big an impact it made.

Was planning on putting a couple hundred miles on the Jeep this weekend, but forgot it was Daytona 500 weekend, and then we scheduled baseball practice for the kids (HS baseball) over the long weekend at the last minute, so between my laziness and a some coaching obligations, I was only able to get out for about 70 miles continuous. It included long highway runs, extended mountain climbs, and about 2k in elevation change. The Jeep ran great! At 65 mph, it's just under 2k rpm, and little drivetrain nose, radiator to rear end. It's all wind/road noise. No temp swings, trans was shifting great, and is VERY "accommodating" to input from the right foot. The engine isn't afraid to rev at all, and doesn't seem to mind holding RPM. A/C is working great, no CEL, etc. Very pleased so far!!

Priorities....

And yes since you're coming from a 4.0 having the Hemi is a major difference.
Good to hear that it's cooling properly.
Enjoy and keep us posted as you get more seat time.
