Hey guys, just upgraded my speakers from the stock ones to polk DB652 in the back and polk DB522in the front. The quality is much better and the speakers sound really nice I just have no bass. I'm looking into getting a amplifier and a sub-woofer but have no idea where to start nor how to install and the best spot to put it. I'm looking for a nice sub and amp that doesn't take up room and could possibly fit under my center console that is currently empty. Looking to not spend that much money less than 300$ for both what are my options? Thank you!

Check that the speakers are all in the same phase. With the fader check front only first, if theres bass, slowly add the rear ones. If the bass go away, change the polarity of the rear ones bu switching - and +. If theres no bass with front only, switch leads polarity. If theres still no bass, adjut the HU or get a sub. I put a 8" slim sub with enclousure in the center console. It was an amplified unit but it overheated. I got a soundstorm 5ch Picasso nano amp, and run all speakers and sub from there.

I ran a self powered unit, it’s been pretty solid for the last year. All you need is to run the RCA cable from your head unit and the hot power from the battery, you can ground to the tub.
I had the useless factory sub and put it in that spot in the console.

Kicker PXA200.1 mono sub amp and Kicker 6.25 sub if you have the factory sub amp installed. KENWOOD KAC-M1804 4 channel amp to go to the 4 speakers you have now. Those amps balance each other perfectly and both easily fit under the steering wheel. Read the How To threads on the sound upgrades. Easy as pie.

I ran this one under my front seat and was very happy with it. I have since moved it over to my truck and still really like it. The remote is a nice feature. It lets you adjust the speaker at any time without touching the unit.
