Need help identifying what this plate is on the back of a 2.4 NSG370

Need help identifying what this plate is on the back of a 2.4 L NSG370 where the output shaft is. Thank you!

What's the history of that transmission? Did you buy it separately, or did it come out of your 2.4L TJ? The reason I ask is that it looks nothing like the tailhousing of an NSG-370. The output shaft should be a splined shaft, not a flange. Also, the housing itself shouldn't have these:

Also, maybe post more pictures of the transmission from different viewpoints. That may help a member figure out what you've got. For instance, in the photo you posted, there seems to be a label on the left side of the bellhousing. Post a pic of that.

Nevermind - I figured it out. I didn't realize the transmission is sitting on its side. The left red circle is the shift tower, and the right is the transmission mount boss. Also, that transmission looks like it's the very same transmission that was in this eBay auction, which states that it's from a Jeep Liberty, which would explain the flange at the rear:

I can't find any information on that output shaft flange on the Jeep parts web site. If you're trying to figure out how to mount it in your 2.4L TJ, you may have to talk to a parts guy at a Jeep dealer...
