Howdy all. I am in the market for my first Jeep Wrangler after driving a 350z for over 10 years and would really appreciate some guidance.

Ideally I am looking to spend 15k, although I am willing to go up to 20k. I don't drive often and when I do it is in town mixed with several camping trips per year. I do plan on doing some starter off-roading with the goal of doing more as I gain some confidence.

The most important thing to me is reliability and to enjoy my first Jeep experience without too many hitches.

What would you recommend for year, mileage, trim, etc?

Thank you in advance!

For that price you can get a very nice, very clean, rust free 2003-2006 Rubicon, which is what I would do for sure.

That is the top model they offered for the 97-06 years, and they come pretty well equipped from the factory.

That budget should get you the best-of-the-best in terms of condition and super low miles.

I highly suggest checking out this thread too:
