Need help with transfer case indicator switch

I have a 2006 TJ Sport 4.0 the transfer case was changed with a remanufactured one before I bought it. the old indicator switch was reused and it was bad so I changed it however the indicator on dash still wil not come on I have taken linkage off and swapped the case by hand it goes in and out of 4x4 fine but indicator will not come on I checked new switch and it works if I just mash the button head and with switch out I can stick finger down in hole and can feel the plunger that pushes on switch but I’m thinking it’s not coming up far enough can this be adjusted it’s really aggravating me please help thanks

Sometimes it is the replacement switch not being the proper depth- I can’t remember exactly the deal but I went through two or three till I got one that would work with my transfer case. I think I ended up going with one made by standard ignition.

Yes that’s what seems like is wrong like the switch isn’t going in far enough I’ll try the one u tried thanks
