NEED HELP!!!

I have a 1997 2.5 5 speed and tonight on my drive home in about 4 gear around 3k rpms it kind of bucked a little and then a little later it completely shut off while I was writing around 30-40 it shut off and bucked like it didn't get any gas. But my foot was pressing the pedal pretty firmly.

Sounds like you have had better days. Just some general thoughts. It would help to know if it started afterward or came home on a hook or trailer. I am new to the jeep world, but it could be fuel pump, or fuel pump relay if jeeps use those. Low voltage from bad alternator or battery. Loss of crank sensor if your engine uses one of those. Several things.
What I have noticed in the time I spent here is no one seems to have a trusted mechanic to turn to . Sign of the times perhaps.
At any rate I hope you get to the bottom of it.

I know my fuel pump is going downhill because it doesn't project the correct gas on the gauge but that could just be the floater. And It has thrown the code of lose of crank or cam
