Need some help choosing a rebuilt 4.0 long block

Hey Guys and girls, my daughter blew my TJ and i mean grenaded it. With that said i have been looking for a while and found 3 builders
i would like to choose from and would like to know if anyone has any personal experience with any of them. here they are and i welcome all of
you opinions.
1. Fraser engines
2. S and J engines
3. Power Tech engin

Going to purchase a long block and put all my good parts on it.

I’m going through the same thing (sort of). Not blown, but need an engine.
S and J top of my list but 14 week lead time. Gross.
Fraser too expensive.
No thoughts on the third option

I am in the same situation. I am looking at Titan Engines out of Florida or Gearhead Engines in the midwest. Anyone have experience with either of those? I also got a quote for a used engine (77k miles) out of Florida for about 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a reman. Anyone go that route?

Not sure about Titan.
Gearhead is ATK. Ordered one and then cancelled when I found a local builder instead.
Used is used. Could be good for a month a year or 10 years.

77k is pretty young for one of these. Don’t know the condition though, any warranty or info with the used one?

Watch for flooded stuff too, not sure how you know though. A lot of hurricane impacts this year

1. i would buy a low mileage oem before buying a mass produced reman. OEM testing, bettter tolerances, QA i think is better. i would like to see the donor vehicle or reputable yard you can trust back story
2. i had a 4.0 built by a local builder- got the 30 over pistons, good headwork and that motor zipped around really well bit it was not the cheapest route.

I went local builder. .20 over. Was there for the whole build. Check it out.

I thought about flood impacts, so decided not to go the used route. It does come with a 12 mos. warranty, but it looked minimal. I've decided to go with a reman through Gearhead. Comes with a 4yr warranty.
