Neutral safety switch / no reverse lights

Hey guys. I'm having starting problems on my 06 Tj w/auto trans. My daughter uses this as her daily driver. Well its left her stranded a couple of times. I've had her put ot in and out of park and it will start. I checked the connections at the battery and cleaned them up. It hasn't left her stranded since. But she let me know the reverse lights aren't working. Fuses and bulbs are good. Is everything I'm seeing saying neutral safety switch?
I watched a couple videos and crawled under the Jeep. I feel dumb but I can cant find it. Could this be in the pcm? I replaced that in Oct 2019 with a wranglerfix.com pcm. I haven't any check engine lights.

It’s called a range sensor. You have to remove the valve body to replace it. I would perform a visual inspection of the cable and it’s adjustment first. Next time the engine won’t crank over have her put the transmission into neutral and see if it cranks over.

What did you mean by adjustment? Loose or rotated.

Chock your wheels. Engage parking brake. With the key on, engine off you climb under the Jeep while your daughter moves the shifter to each position. Look for excessive movement where it attaches to the transmission shaft bushing and the adjustment bracket.
