Hi to all.
I am sure I will learn a lot in this Forum.
Just got a 2001 Sport, 6 cyl, manual 5 spd., 150k, all stock, some corrossion, fair shape cosmetically and mechanically.
This is my third TJ, had sold the other two, both manual Sports.
I had CJ5s when young and grew up in and around Jeeps, on the Country side. Fully Restored a Golden Eagle, but sold it.
This Jeep has some important issues, like corroded front floors, the Transfer will not work, and a Tranny bearing sounds a bit.
I looked under and the Jeep looks stock 100% and not beated up.
Rides smooth and most electrical stuff work. Engine looks almost 100% stock.
This Jeep is to be stripped of its hard top, A/C, carpets, etc, and will be ridden mostly off road but not hard.
I can tell that the hood was left loose and came up and hit the windshield, and it was repaired poorly, but looks ok.
Has no hitch and seems it never did and the Jeep looks like it was only used on roads.
Found a Michigan plate inside and that might explain the corrossion although not so serious.
I will post pictures if I manage to.
