I just finally joined last week after years of lurking. Hopefully I can help out new TJ owners.
I have a 97 Sport, 4.0, 5-speed, A/C. It was purchased completely stock in 99 with 13k miles for $13M. The guy said he bought it for his daughter, but she hated stick, so he drove it some for 2 years and then decided to get rid of it. It had a soft top and half doors. Current mods include:
- RE 5.5” LA lift (5.5” springs in front, 4.5” in rear)
- Clayton 4-link rear upgrade
- Ford 8.8 rear axle w/ Eaton E-locker and BTF diff cover (still have a Yukon Ultimate 88 kit waiting to be installed), Dana 30 front

There’s probably a lot more I’m forgetting as it has been a work in progress for many years.
I also just recently replaced the valve cover gasket, rear main seal and oil pan gasket, and intake/ exhaust manifold gasket and swapped to the 2000+ 2-piece manifolds. I’ll be going to the exhaust shop next week so they can finish my exhaust from the manifolds back. I’m hoping to delete the cat and mount a muffler where the cat was and put a down turn just last the RE skid.
