Hi, I actually joined here a year ago, but have only lurked. I didn’t have a TJ at the time… but was looking (actually, I have been looking on/off for the last 4+ years).

Anyway, I finally found one to pull the trigger on. It’s a 1997 Sport 4.0L/5spd. 116,063 miles as of the day I bought it (a couple weeks ago). Prior owner(s) (I am the 6th) did a pretty solid build on it a number of years ago.

The build is older now and starting to show its age a bit, but still very solid. Speaking of solid, there is ZERO rust underneath this beast. I lived in Arizona for many years and became seriously spoiled when it comes to rust-free vehicles, so finding one here in Southern Indiana without cancer was no small feat… but a definite requirement.

Anyway, here it is:

My wife always seems to name our vehicles, and thus we have dubbed it “Flash Gordon” (as in the 1980 cult classic film)… or simply just “Flash” for short. With its stock 3.07s and 33s it’s a bit tongue & cheek as well, as fast it ain’t! But it’s built solid and runs solid… and it’s a blast! Glad to finally find my TJ!

welcome out from the shadows and congrats on your TJ 🍻
