Greetings everyone. New member here. First time TJ owner but long term Jeeper. I had a lifted YJ and a lifted JL. Sold those and thought I was done with the Jeep thing until I caught the bug again. My next adventure is in the TJ. I'm going through it trying to understand what has been done to it by the previous owner, and what aftermarket parts it has, and what is worn and needs replaced. This site has quite a bit of info to dig through.

It does drive loose on the road, which is the first thing I need to address. When I turn a corner it feels like I'm drifting or like I'm on a boat if that makes sense.

welcome. Where in OK? I'm NE of OKC.

Post a picture of your steering and we can probably make some helpful suggestions.

Edmond area. This weekend I'm going to jack up the front and have my wife move the steering wheel while I look everything. I'll record a video as well. That YJ of mine was pretty rusty, but it drove solid. So I don’t have much experience diagnosing problems like this.

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

The TJ is definitely the best generation of Wranglers IMHO. Love the yellow too!

I said NE of OKC to avoid being overly specific since most people that show up here never seem to be very close. There's not much in Arcadia so we go to Edmond enough to say "Edmond area".

Welcome. Always nice to see another Yellow TJ. Be prepared, though, lots of folks here are very jealous of that color. It's....a thing....

😉

Also good to see another Oklahoma Dude. I was born in Altus.

Jeff
