Picked this one up over the weekend. Looked over a few options locally, picked this one as the best of the bunch. Frame is in great shape, nothing but a bit of surface rust underneath. And yes, I checked behind that diamond plate stuff on the bottom of the body, it was just for looks apparently.
Paid on the high side of the market but it has a new clutch (5 speed) and new A/C compressor, with the work warrantied for a year, and parts warranty for more than that (I forget how long). Hard and soft tops, in decent condition. Tires have good tread left and it's the only one I looked at that did the proper five wheel rotation. I'll probably go a bit bigger on the tires when they're shot in a few years.
Only real mod I'm doing right away is a new dash for a double DIN stereo, and maybe seat covers. I'm sure I'll have plenty of dumb questions along the way, until then.
