Greetings all; I'm an old Jeep guy who has been without one for awhile now. My first was a CJ-5 back in the '80's, and my last Jeep was a black/tan 2001 Sahara TJ I bought new, lifted it and ended up selling it a couple years later. I always regretted that, so finally decided to look for another TJ. I found an '06 Rubicon that needs some work, and I'm hoping I can get some good advice and knowledge here.
What I'm dealing with is what looks like a black diamond lift, probably 3", its hard to tell. Up front the former owner installed a set of JKS ACOS adjustable coil spring spacers; I'm not sure why, maybe he was trying to compensate for sag due to the body armor bumper and 9500lb winch on the front. Anyway, its now sitting higher in the front and low in the back. So, I'm considering three options here:
The thing rides horribly, it needs ball joints, ends and shocks. For shocks, I was going to go with Rancho RS5000X all around. The front Bilsteins are new but too stiff for my taste.
What is the preferred ball joint? Dana Spicer, or is there a longer lasting ball joint out there that I should consider?
Here's the front suspension

- Replace the springs (and maybe the ACOS) with better springs that will give me about the same height all around as the front end is now, I think its 4", again hard to tell. If I keep the ACOS I'll get 2.5" lift springs in front and 4" in the back, I think, not sure on how to deal with the ACOS.
- Install a spring spacer on the rear springs to level out the jeep and leave it.
