I have been poking around, looking at some wheels for my TJ. I want something basic & not too flashy. I like my stock Canyon wheels, I just think I want to change things up some.

I have settled on the Mammoth Boulder wheels, they have a clean, classic look. Now, my problem is, I can't decide on the color choice. I have looked at as many pictures as I could find of these wheels in black & in charcoal. I really like both. I like the black look, but I think there is an oppurtunity for too much black. That's where I started looking at charcoal.

I seem to be the most indecisive person roaming the earth, so I'm looking for other opinions here.

Here are a couple examples of each color wheel on a black TJ like mine. These are customer pictures from extremeterrain.com, not my Jeep.

I'm leaning towards the charcoal version, but I am interested in what you guys think. Feel free to vote on the poll attached to this thread & thanks in advance.

Having a black TJ with black wheels for the past 10 years, I really like those charcoal wheels.

Black-on-black is too much for me. I think charcoal would be a much better choice... though satin would be my first choice!

My first choice would be the stock Moab’s, and if that isn’t an option for you i would go charcoal boulders also like everybody else is saying. All black looks washed out, and it’s just not a good look IMO.

Another Charcoal vote here! Looked at the same wheels for my Khaki LJ and think they look great.

I am voting black. It is weird that I am the odd man out, but I am standing by it!!

I vote black if you are going all blacked out, like changing the headlight bezel to black, etc. If you have other accents, silver, chrome, etc, then I would go charcoal or even anthracite, if available.

I own a car that is black with gloss black rims and whilst its great when clean, 5 mins down the road and its rubbish. Never again.

Definitely Charcoal but in my mind something polished (even if it's just the rim with a painted centre) would be a heap better. :)

Man.. those charcoal ones are nice. They are actually similar to what I have been looking for. Hope you don’t mind if I copy you lol.
