Ok so I have received the dreaded No Bus error on my dash while driving, I already cleaned the gauge clusters connectors and it is still giving me this code and MPH and Tach are dropping out, so I was wondering can I start disconnecting the sensors one by one while the Jeep is running to determine if it is one of them or is that a no go and will cause problems?

I had the same issue with my 2000 TJ and cleaned the gauge cluster connectors several times with no luck. Try this, turn the ignition key to the position right before the Jeep cranks and wait until all the gauges activate and then start your Jeep. You may have to fiddle with the ignition switch a little. When I had the no bus issue I followed this procedure and it worked for me. I ultimately replaced my ignition switch and actuator and it completely resolved my no bus issue.

Hi there! My 1999 has become a project now. The "no buss" code comes and goes with bumps in the road. I have not cleaned the electrical connectors yet but plan on doing so. I may even insure the grounding to each connector as well. I saw on line a video where the Black with a Green strip wire was wired to a ground on the tub itself.

I'm looking for input on how to polish up the rims. They are alloy I think, but not steel. I'm not sure if they are aluminum.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ! Joe D
