No Bus

A little over a month ago my check engine light coming on due to "no bus". I had no drivability issues at all. All the recommendations for a no bus with no drivability issues stated to unhook the battery, unplug the cluster, clean the contacts, apply di-electric grease, then reinstall.

After doing all that the light went off. Well today it came back on. Still have no drivability issues. I'm convinced now that it has nothing to do with the gauge cluster terminals. I'm not sure what or where to begin checking?

Thanks Chris. After watching his video, I have none of the issues he describes. All my gauges work and the Jeep drives just fine.

Well after unhooking the battery and putting roughly 150 miles on the Jeep the light is back on. Ugh!



Here's what I know:

Jeep runs and drives just fine. All gauges function properly. When I hook up a scan tool, the tool fails to read any codes. Tool says "waiting on vehicle" The dash then flashes no bus.





I've read through the suggestions and it seems as if most are steering me towards a intermittent sensor failure. Any thoughts with what to start with?
