Hello all.

I just bought a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It wasn’t starting and and I thought I could fix it fast and easy, man was I wrong. I’ve watched every video on YouTube I could. I’ve found the same issues and fix but I’m STILL in the same boat..... NOTHING!!!

No crank, no start.

Has the Jeep ever started for you?
Does the key feel normal in the ignition switch, is it loose? If it's loose it could be the actuator pin is broken.
Do the dash lights come on? If they don't it could be the ignition switch.
Does anything click when you try to start it? If you hear a click it could be dirty battery connections or a weak battery. Even if the battery connections look perfect sometimes they need to be cleaned.
Have you checked all the fuses both under the hood and behind the glovebox?
Have you jumped the big and small terminals on the starter to run it manually? The starter could just be busted.

Just went through the same thing this weekend with my 04. If it’s not the battery then go under the Jeep and wack the starter with a rubber mallet. Then try to start the Jeep. If it starts then you need a new starter. Easy removal and install. Got mine at advanced auto parts $87 and less than an hour of work. Videos on YouTube are your friend.
