i see a white wire that was grounded to frame ?

IIRC, nothing should be grounded to the frame.
Only the body.

Why is this? The battery is grounded to the frame, would that not make a better ground point?

can someone share with me the electrical connections at wiring harness under fender liner mine was cut and i see a white wire that was grounded to frame ? Is this needed to make 3rd light work. All wiring missing including contact points on inner and on rear gate

have pulled new wires waiting on new kit for pins and covers

The white wire you see grounded to the frame is most likely the remains of a trailer harness that was cut away. I just checked wire colors and I believe you are looking for a white/tan and black wires. Just finding a ground will not work if a switched ground is needed. If it was cut out the remains will be there somewhere.

I got mine from here.
They used to have a full tub of the pins but if you scroll down they have a set.
Pull the plastic and see if there is wiring

Thanks he had them but I saved $10 finding a local place here that had them also.
