Just had a new annoying noise start yesterday. Got home and let it idle in the drive. The noise comes and goes and sounds like it's coming from either power steering pump or the idler pulley just below the pump pulley. Did the old school noise locating trick by using a hollow broom handle on the power steering pump and listening at the other end. The noise seems to be internal to the pump. Don't have the "typical" whining noise while turning the steering wheel. Steering is working as usual. Can it be a pump bearing or the idler pulley bearing starting to go out...no typical high pitch bearing noise...yet. The noise starts at the 4 second mark of the video. Anyone have any ideas what it might be?
