I know there is some ton truck axle knowledge around here. I jack about leaf springs......
I have an old 2wd truck I’d like to toss a pass drop front 44 or 60 under. The problem I’m running into is the spring center widths.
It looks like the 70’s GM stuff had 31.5” spring centers. My truck has 26”, the springs are under and centered on the frame rail.
Are there any other axles other than GM that would be an option?
I’m not really into shortening the pass side and having a custom inner made. But that may be the only option.
What about moving my spring hangers outboard on the front?
