Not getting sound from the factory subwoofer and speakers after upgrading to a double DIN head unit

Any help with this would be awesome. My son has an 03 Sport with factory sub and factory amp. I replaced the sub about a year ago with the "direct fit" replacement from Quadratec - everything worked great. Right now I am getting no sound from the sub, and the other speakers ( all aftermarket installed by me ) sound rough. I just upgraded to a double din, but the sound was going prior to that. The sub seems fine and is reading correct ohms, but no sound - guessing the amp is bad but I have no idea.

Can someone give me some areas to trouble shoot, and does anyone know if the factory amp supported the entire system or just the sub. Any help appreciated.

So you WERE getting sound from the sub and the speakers before the double DIN install, correct?

I am getting sound from all 4 speaker, just not the sub. Prior to the double din install, sound from the sub was intermittent.
I know the wiring is correct ( checked all connections during troubleshooting ). Sub is not blown based on OHM test and cone tightness.

So you are using factory amp and factory replacement sub? Is the new deck wired for using factory sub? I believe that was a option in the wiring harness.

OK - both amp and sub are blown. had no idea you could blow an amp that small after 17 years. Sub actually tested fine, but hooked it up to different amps outside of car to test and no sound. Thinking it somehow got frozen.
Installed a Kicker amp and Kicker sub and all good now. Thanks for the replies.

Did you install the kicker sub in the console? Which one? Amp there too? Feel free to upload pics Curious as I added stereo and 4 speakers this past summer... amp and sub are next.

Kicker sub was installed in the console, and fit in the original console enclosure - just had to remove the fins in the bottom of the enclosure.
I put a Kicker amp under the drivers seat ( not where I wanted it, but this made it easier ).
