OEM Seat Covers

Never seen anything like this. The Bartacts are a nice solution though and fit like factory.
Seems like Summit might be offering something like that soon:
I was quoted $2,500 at a local upholstery shop and that was me removing the seats and bringing them in! Then I emailed this place:

I bought @Chris ' bartacts from him a few years ago and although I got them less than their full price, I think they are worth it. They fit great and are just as tight as they were the day I installed them in 2020, They have the Molle strips on them which I have bags of random stuff in, and it doesn't cause the seat fabric to look distorted or anything. The bags have a few small hand tool, small parts like fuse, etc and some airing up hoses, tools, air gauge and a small first aid kit.
I only have the front seat. My rear seat is only in once or twice a year, for a few days so I've held off buying one for it.

I used to have them. They’re worth the price. They fit excellent and the Molle straps are a nice feature. The only reason I sold them was because I went with PRP Enduro seats so I could run a 5-point harness.
I just checked out that site and they look fantastic. But I'm curious what are they made of? Are they the same material typically found making up the Molle pouches or bags you can buy? Asking because in the 3 years my TJ has been in MT, the sun has been so hot and intense, Molle pouches, molle webbing, and even 550 board literally discentegrated on me last weekend. It was a mess to clean up. Fibers everywhere. SO I wonder how these seat covers would hold up. Not sure what the OEM seat's are made of either. Just something to think about. I was shocked when I grabbed the 550 cord handle and it just fell apart.
I have Bartact's and they look and wear great.
Katzskin has nice seat, not OEM, but very nice. They will run a heck of a lot more than Bartact even before installation. If you go to an upholstery joint you are easily into the thousands.

Well my truck has the Madera but they don't make that for my Jeep so probably Allure. They have 1/4" foam backing too.

I'm not sure what they are made of. The sun and heat is pretty intense here in the southeast and they still look like new. However, I only go topless/doorless a few months out of the year, usually a little while in the spring after all the pollen is done and in the fall. Not much in the summer, it's too hot for me.
That pic is from 2020, but they honestly still look the same.
A couple years back someone started a thread with a link to an upholstery supplier that could match and make the original OEM designs. I thought I had bookmarked and didn't and I can't remember what the company was. I want to say it was out of FL.
That response could leave someone to believe that all they need is a set of old factory upholstery to make patterns from.
I choked on the price of admission for the Bartacts but now after close to three years of daily driving on them I have zero regrets. Well…. If I were doing it again I would special order the Tactical covers without the MOLLE grid. They still look like the day I got them. No fading. No crazy wrinkles. Still snug and fit is dead on perfect. The fabric is comfortable all year round. I have 95+ in the summer and can see close to 0 in the winter.
That said, I love the look of the Corbeau TrailCats.
If you want to do a killer reupholster talk to @Woodrow. He had his stockers redone in a pattern that resembles the TrailCats with Alcantara inserts and contrasting stitching. Uncomplicated. Great looks. Factory/period correct.

5+ years with my Bartacts and they still look, feel and wear like new. If Bartact made covers to fit my 2005 GMC Dmax seats when my upholstry needed replacing a couple of years ago, I'd have gone with Bartacts over reupholstering, hands down.
I’m holding out to see how good the Summit ones are, hopefully they make it to market. Since many of us on the forum are buying the replacement seat foam I think they will.
