i live in Central Oregon (Redmond) and there is a OHV Park about 10 minutes away. I can’t seem to find any info, but needing to know if you have to purchase a permit to use the area. Is it similar to a ATV permit?

Anyways, if anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.

@BendLarry is in Bend, Oregon, maybe he could be of some assistance.

Do they have a number you could call and ask by chance?

I assume you are thinking about the Cline Butte OHV Park. If so you do need a permit. I think you can get them from the DMV, not absolutely sure about that.

I had to get mine when I did Cedar Tree and Firebreak #5 in the Tillamook State Forest.

They are required in any Oregon OHV area but not really enforced all the time. The good thing is the $10 for the permit actually helps the whole Oregon ATV/OHV system going towards trail maintenance and signage. I ordered mine right online and was shipped to my house within a few days. They also give you a PDF temp one too incase you need one immediately.

You can get yours here: https://store.oregonstateparks.org
And here's some more info: https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/ATV/Pages/Permits.aspx#Class_II_Permits

Don't forget the OR Dunes actually require a flag/whip, so keep that in mind before heading out! ;)
