Oil pressure gauge

Cold start, sometimes the oil pressure gauge doesn't work.
'Check Gauges' flashes in the dash.
Warmed up, everything is normal on start-up.
Where to look for this problem?

How many miles?

The first thing I'd do is verify actual pressure with a mechanical gauge. That will tell you if this is a mechanical issue, or electrical issue.

In a 04 the "gauge" moves the needle to just over half scale if the engine has pressure , check the electrical connections to the sender. And verify the pressure with a mechanical gauge as per BlueC . Could be the sender is bad.
