OME 2.5" lift bump stops?

My OME kit only came with rear bump stop extensions, nothing at all for the front.

For the life of me I can't remember how I had it setup on my previous TJ Rubicon, as that was years ago.

I'm trying to figure out why they didn't include any front bump stop extensions (they don't even offer them)?

Is there anyone out there with a Rubicon with a 2.5" OME lift who can tell me how much bump stop they needed (roughly) for the front and rear with this lift? @glwood, you might have this setup on your Rubicon, right?

I'm trying to determine if I need to order front bump stop extensions, or if they aren't required for this lift.

I've got stock steering and the stock track bar with 265/75r16 (31.7") tires.

I purchased 2 sets of the silver bump stops. One for front and one set for rear

Yea 31/32” tires and OME lift is all a guy really needs to have a pretty capable setup. I won’t ever own a different lift.

You might be ok. You'll have a great opportunity to find out when you pull those old springs/shocks out and set the axle at full bump. Cycle the axle too with the tires straight and at full lock. I do seem to recall that the Rubi models have an additional 0.5" of bumpstop on the lower spring perch. The pad is actually thicker than a non-Rubi model because the Rubi came with a little big bigger tire from the factory.

You're right about the Rubicon model shaving a thicker spring perch. I had to drill through it on my old Rubicon to install the Currie bump stops, and it said in their instructions that Rubicon models had a thicker lower spring perch, and I can testify to that as it was very, very thick when I drilled through it!

On that subject, do these look like the stock bump stops?

No, they don't. The stock ones look like this,

It looks like your jounce bumpers are quite a bit longer. Notice in my pic how my jounce bumper gets really close to hitting the coil spring when at droop? Imagine where yours is going to end up.

But since those jounce bumpers on there are so long, I should just be able to cut them down to where I need them to be with the OME lift, huh?

That's how my Currie ones were, they installed from the bottom.

Yep, you should be able to cut those down. Just grab a couple hockey pucks and the appropriate bolts in case you need to add any. Maybe you'll luck out and not need any.

But if you cut them down won’t you be cutting off the threads for the bumpstop cups??

Not entirely sure. These look like they are one piece, I don't see anywhere where multiple pieces thread together.

Mine are long up top between the cup but I think the threads bottom out. I’m sure @bobthetj03 knows. I’d just be nervous to cut them down but I guess you could tap them if needed. Stock set up on top and pucks on bottom. I’ll butt out now. Just trying to be helpful if possible.

I appreciate the help. From what I'm reading online, it looks like these bumpstops that came with the lift are one piece. I'm not sure what will happen once I take them apart, but maybe I should order some stock ones just incase.

I think those longer jounce bumpers are just poly units that slide into the bumper cup just like the factory ones do. A hacksaw should make quick work of cutting them down to factory length. I can measure how far my factory bumpers stick down past the cup if you like for reference @Chris.
