I recently purchased an 03 Rubicon in Texas that got T-boned at 20mph and it has the RH rear axle shaft bent. I have installed 33 x 12.50, OME 2.5 " with 1.25 body lift. Should I put in chromoly axles (have to buy a pair, other wise I can just buy the one) going to Moab this spring and want it right but hate to spend the money if i dont have to. Is the 44 tough enough? By the way, it has 88000 miles and is still geared at 4.11 thanks

With 33" tires, I would indeed put alloy axles in the front and rear. It's better safe than sorry!
Alloys wouldn't hurt but I wouldn't worry about a Rubicon's factory 30 spline Dana 44 shafts with 33's.
