Got some frame pictures from a guy sell a Jeep. Its a 2000 auto. with 154,000 miles for $6,800 looks nice but the frame?

I'm thinking no, but would like to hear from you guys.

6800??? looks like the shock bracket was recently welded back on, frame is starting to go but still looks fairly solid, plus its got 154 thousand on it.

Offer him 4000 and if he doesn't take it walk away.
 
Frame has actually been repaired already. You can see the welds and the bottom of the frame isn’t rounded off on the corners like a stock one. I’d pass.

Yes, it looks like my old Land Rover frame, which by design is welded along all four edges. So it can be done that way. But in this case, I'd want to be sure it was done well. Also $6800 seems high given frame and milage.
