When I pull open the door or slam it hard the bottom of the door handle pops out about 1/4". All I need to do is slap it and it goes right back into place. Everything is working fine. I pulled the inner panel and even looked at an extra handle assembly I have and can't figure out why this is happening. Anyone have an idea?

Seems like some part of the handle frame is missing a part that keeps it snug...does the inside look like a piece is missing?

Everything looked normal inside, and from what I could see, it looked exactly like the Crown handle I was holding in my hand.

The latch assembly is held in place by two “step wedge pins” on the inside. You can roll the window down and should be able to see if one of them has slipped out. If so, you will need to remove the inner door shield (remove the inner door handle and window handle first) and drive it back in. If it has fallen out look for it in the bottom of the door panel. I have a service sheet somewhere if you need it but it is pretty simple.

I'll do that, thanks

Check the rear wedge pin on that door handle. I replaced both door handles this past fall and had the same problem after the installation. The pin was in place but was not pushed down far enough to lock the handle in place. I gave the pin another tap and it's been fine ever since.
