Pinion angle

I removed the t case skid spacers over the weekend and installed the new woods cv shaft. I rotated the pinion up using the upper control arms and have a driveline angle of 15.3 and pinion angle of 14.5. My trackbar is hitting the gas tank skid plate so I’ll need to address that, and grind a relief area on the spring perches to clear the shocks. My question is, the springs have some arch to them now. I’m guessing this is normal? He lift was on it from the PO, I believe it’s. 4.5” rubicon express

To answer your question, yes but to add to it, I was able to clear the track bar by just loosening the gas tank skid and prying it backwards to gain as much space as possible

The arch is not a big deal, but you can correct it by carefully cutting off the upper perches and moving them back. There is a good video on BFH. Also though, if you do it I recommend removing the TB bracket on the frame side and fabbing a new one that welds to the inside of the frame so you have more room to move the upper perch back on that side. FYI, you have to cut a little of the gas tank crossmember to do this.

Watch out for the brake lines when you're trimming the spring perches.......

I was on Clayton Offroads site last night looking at what they offered for TJ's. They have a bolt on rear trackbar bracket that moves the bar forward. It's built with an angle in it. Don't know if that would help you any.

Thanks guys. I ended up ordering a Currie trac bar and their bracket. Buy one cry once sort of deal.
