Hey y’all,

I have Dana 44 rear axles with crush sleeves, I was wondering how to torque the pinion nut? And to what torque spec.

There is no torque spec. You have to chrush the collar until you can acheive 14-19 in lbs rotational torque of the pinion.

In the TJ Resources section of this forum there is downloadable Factory Service Manual for your year TJ that should provide you with the information that you require.
The torque spec for the 216 RBI (Dana 44) pinion nut for initial setup is approximately 180 ft lbs or 244 N m to achieve what ATG stated above.
