Bought new tires today
In 40 years of owning Jeeps I cannot think of how many tires I have had, 32s, 33s, 35, 36s. Most of them last about 45K miles, tops. I've also had several old pickups with 235/85R16s ans 7.50R16s. Some on split rims. They all got over 60K miles.
So todays purchase for my Rubicon, 5) 7.50R16s !!
Not 10.50 or 12.50 but 7.50. And 32.5" tall. On 16x6.5 steel rims with 5.25BS.
PizzaCutters !!
$40 less than KO2s, 10# less than KO2s, 15K miles more life.
Save $200 and go 33% further !!
Cost per mile will be half what my KO2s, KM2s were.
Have to cut down the flares... again.
A 2" flare will give full coverage.
I might be as skinny as an SE.
I found some 16x6.5 Rims with a 5.25" Back Space. To test out this combination.
I'm sure I'll like it so now to find some 16x6 alloys.
