I broke this plastic part at the very bottom of the heater box which one of the heater cables attaches to. I’m having trouble finding the part name or number. Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Those look different than his. They don't have that little ridge thing around it. I don't know it that matters though.

Those are the levers for the side doors. The bottom door is a little different. But thank you, that helps my search.

The ridge around the outside is a cam lobe that sits against some sprung metal plate. It matters.

On mine, I drilled a hole where the peg used to be and put a small (#6) screw and lock nut with washers to grab the cable. I just did it yesterday, so I haven't had the chance to really give it a workout
That seems like a great idea. If for no other reason than us having at least one, maybe two, Jeepers to let us all know how good works.

Here's mine. Left just enough slop in the lock nut that nothing was getting hung up, but also the cable doesn kink or get cattewhompass

Unfortunately when I pulled the dash for my heater core replacement I fooled with the cable adjuster. Yet another thing to fix.

The part number is 4864 990 but seems to not exist anymore. I will have to fabricate something.
How did you end up fixing this issue? I am having the same issue and the part is no longer available
