PO463 Code After Fuel Tank Check Valve Mod

I am getting a
P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input when I fill up my Jeep.
This started after I did the fuel tank check valve mod to keep fuel from spitting all over the place during fill ups.
I can fill up now without fuel spitting out , but now after fill ups and a few miles I get a that PO463 code and fuel tank is stuck on full.
Today the CEL cleared itself and fuel gauge is reading 3/4 tank. Do I need to replace the fuel pump and sender ?
 
After some searching , I found most people just replace the sending ing unit or the fuel pump assembly complete with sending unit.
The Jeep has 138k on it and seeing that I got to drop the tank to even test it , I am just going to replace the whole thing. What fuel pump is recommended? Hard to find a Mopar unit for a 06 TJ 4.0.
