Polk DB's on sale at Crutchfield

Just an FYI if anyone is thinking of upgrading:

The 652's will fit into early TJ sound bars, but a new set of mounting holes need to be drilled. Not sure about later sound bars.
Mine are coming today. For that price, it's a no brainer. I'm just doing the sound bar speakers as they are the most heard. I went with the 6.5' ones as suggested on the forum.

My 652s screwed right into place using the existing holes, no need for drilling.

That's a great sounding speaker for those with smaller amplifiers or stock radios since it doesn't take a lot of power to make it sound good.

Is anything else needed with the 6.5" ? I.e. wiring connectors for a Jeep? I'm looking at the Amazon speakers.

Just to make sure I am understanding correctly, I wouldn't need to drill the actual big hole any bigger to fit the 652's, just have to drill new small holes to put the screws in to hold them in place? I really would like to get bigger and better sounding speakers for the sound bar. Right now I have cheap 5.25 in there.

Yes you will need to get an adapter harness or you can cut and splice in new leads. Crutchfield usually includes the adapters free if you use the ‘what fits my vehicle’ feature.

What's the normal pricing on the 6 1/2"? Been thinking of getting these for the sound bar and moving my 5 1/4" to the dash. Is $109 that great of a price?
