My 522’s are now installed in the roll bar and the dash. Installation was as easy as it gets. I did not have to do any cutting to use the 4x6 to 5.25 adapters. Mine lined right up with no impedances. Sound is greatly improved and can actually hear the music at freeway speeds.
I did install Polly fill in the roll bars. Looked at adding it or the dash but way to cavernous of a space. Might order baffles but we’ll see how it goes.
For those that have also gone to new 5.25’s in the roll bar, did you reuse the factory speaker grills or use the new grills that came with the Polk’s? I reused my old ones. I like the look of the new grills but didn’t want to advertise that I have new speakers. Figured no one would want to steal old speakers. Maybe I’m just too paranoid.
