Power distribution wiring question

I have a 1998 TJ with the 4.0 and manual 5 Speed. I was flushing out the heater core today when i noticed a wire coming from the Power distribution box at the terminal side closest to the battery, it is green and has a wire loom covering the lower half. It's not connected to anything on the engine and is hot and sparks when touching metal. Any ideas what the wire may go to? It has a round small terminal on the loose end. The Jeep has had a Jeep Cable upgrade done to it not too long ago.

Pictures? Maybe the alternator? But that would be red if it's Big 7 or black if OEM.

That green wire you're seeing is likely a power feed for an accessory or a component that may have been removed or not reconnected during the Jeep cable upgrade. The fact that it's hot and sparks when touching metal suggests it's live, which can be dangerous. It could be meant for something like an aftermarket accessory, a relay, or even the original equipment that was disconnected.

When touching any metal the wire ring sparks; is that with the engine running or the ignition off ?
There are supposed to be two wires held down onto studs with fasteners on the left side of the PDC. I would examine the PDC to ensure one is not missing.

The only green wire near the PDC that immediately comes to mind is the section of fusible link from the alternator.

The green wire is probably one of the two wires attached to the PDC as mrblaine posted above.

I do believe it may be from the big 7 cable kit that was installed that the alternator cable wasn't removed from the old harness. I will remove it and see if any issues arise. I am amazed that I didn't see any issues before this. Thank you for all the inputs.
