Problems with ECU/ECM

My ECU unit got fried and I had to buy another one, unfortunately only afterwards did I realize that it was for an automatic Jeep whilst mine is a manual. I bought the whole kit (ECU, transponder, new keys), everything fits but the Jeep won’t spark nor will it release petrol.

someone told me that this is because the ECU is for an automatic transmission Jeep, is that true,would that be relevant?

Among other incompatibility issues with the PCM, the Jeep is not starting because you don't have a neutral safety switch. If you search 2005 tj automatic to manual swap, for example, you'll find a whole list of issues with the PCM.

Being in Mozambique, things get a little more complicated but I do believe the PCM can be reprogrammed for a manual transmission. You just need to find someone who can do this.
