PRP seats

So I finally installed the seats which the driver seat took forever. I was nearly hitting my head on the roll bar. I had to flip the PRP mounting brackets but that wasn’t simple. I had to cut and modify the seat base and the mounting bracket to make it work.

Not real impressed with PRP. Customer service sucks. I asked them about how to mount the female seat buckle and they responded with just look it up online, use forums.
I’m sorry didn’t I just spend over a grand on the seats and the $100 per mounting bracket which is ridiculous. Is it too much to ask for $2 worth of metal to connect a safety device.
Kind of regret buying them now. I was looking at getting 4 or 5 point harness but I don’t want to use them again.

Which seats did you order? It's interesting everybody seems to have different issues with the height of PRP seats.

I got the Enduro Recliners with their brackets to adapt to my 05's fold and tumble. I also mounted them with 1.25" spacers since I like sitting higher and the later TJs seats sat lower for the air bags. I had poured over the measurements on their website and determined before ordering that I likely needed the extra tall seat for me, and I'm only 5'11". I'm glad I did, cause the center of the back of my head sits just an inch or two below the top of the seat. My girlfriend is 5'2" and the regular size seat is just about perfect for her. Both have ample clearance up top, and our heads to the tops, mounted in an '05 with the factory mech and 1.25" spacers.

They are wide, though. I didn't order wide, but the seats are just generally wide. They do push past the roll bar to recline, but I won't be doing much reclining with the spare back there anyway.

I'll be figuring out center console and seat belt bracket later this afternoon. It does all look like it might be a bit snug in that regard.

I had no problems installing my PRP seats. They're not TJ specific so you have to expect to have to be creative at times. Maybe my writeup might help with one or two of your concerns like the inner seat belt mount I came up with.
