Pulled the trigger today on a new set of RCV CVJ44's for my '05 TJR. With 35" tires, Curie 9701, and stock Dana 44 knuckles, is it worthwhile to take another look at building stronger steering setup to further solidify the front end?
I'm starting to think that the strength of the knuckles and then the C's will be the weakest link in the chain (after the driver of course). I'm also not sure if the Currie system I have would fail before bending C's or breaking my knuckles.
I drive fairly conservative off-road, the potholes here in Seattle actually scare me more than the local mountain trails! That said, I'm definitely looking to up the ante off-road soon.
