I'm working on my LS swap and working to get evap system worked out. I understand the basics of the evap system, what I'm confused about is where the two vent lines go that run from the charcoal canister to the engine bay on my 2004 TJ. Most diagrams I see show 1 line into canister, two out, the two go to a vent valve and a purge valve. But, in the service manual the vent valve shows that it's back by the charcoal canister so I'm confused where the two vent lines go once they hit the engine bay, one clearly goes to purge valve but what about the other? I've already pulled the engine out so I can't check how it was before.

Maybe it's a fresh air hose that routes to the intake?

My LS system is different so I'm trying to figure this whole thing out.

I think the other line is a vacuum line that runs the leak detection pump.

edit: in other words it connects directly to the intake manifold
