Question for Frameless Softtop Owners

I've had a Softopper for several years. My used 2004 came with a hardtop only and I didn't want to buy a frame and a top, so I can't compare. It is tight and pretty quiet although noisier than the hardtop. It takes some time to remove entirely or to reinstall and not something I'd want to do in pouring rain.

I have framed (Bestop I think) and after seeing what is involved with frameless, I would never change. Framed is VERY easy to put up and down, it's not horribly noisy, and you only really have to store the side windows because the back rolls up. I was jealous of a friends JL because he could flip the top to get a "sunroof" but check out flipurtop.com (97-06) - a couple holes and a little work and yours flips too!

When I read your post I heard it in Spiccolli's voice 😂
