Question for the brake experts

Hello all!
Need some quick and simple help and advice.

My 99 TJ sport, 4.0, About to do brakes, all around, It was built in march of 1999, so it does have all of the older, smaller front
brake components. IT DOES NOT HAVE ABS. so I am a little unsure of components to order.

I am doing it all, front U-joints, front brakes, hubs (bearings), rotors, calipers, ect. And complete rear brakes, cylinders, drums, pads, hardware.

My Main question is this, Can I just order everything ( Rock auto, in my shopping cart now), for a 2000 TJ, and all will bolt UP?

I have pretty well come to this conclusion with hours of research, and getting very familiar working on this Jeep for months now.

I will wait to place my parts order until I have solid anweres from you guys, thanks in advance!

If you order 2000 parts, they all work together and fit your axle just fine.

Thank you sir, I certainly appreciate it! one more question, none of the front brake kits for the front specify ABS or not, the rear do,
but they are are available in (Non-ABS) So does that matter???

Have you looked at Black Magic brakes? They have the best pads for our TJs

So you have me confused a bit, at first you state you have the older components (early 99 only) which are not interchangeable with 2000, then you want to know if 2000 will fit. I doubt with a 4/99 build you have the early rotors, did you measure them to confirm.

Have you looked at Black Magic brakes? They have the best pads for our TJs

No sir, I've heard of them, but trying to stay in budget to keep my wifey happy, But timken hubs and bearings, full front power stop Z36 HD brake kit and caliper, coated, painted, drilled and slotted, rear centric oem drum kit complete, and keeping it under $500.

I do have all early components, but am changing absolutely everything, hubs and all. And I have seen posts on here saying " Go ahead and upgrade to the better, later 99 and up components."

Well that's a good reason and why I misunderstood. Nice little project.

As you are pulling your axles to replace the U-joints, I suggest replacing the axle seals as well (if they are old). Add a Lubelocker gasket for your differential cover to your list as well. Pulling and reinstalling axles on old seals can cause a leak that has your tearing it back down later. Easier to do it when it is all apart. Just my .02¢

The ABS at the wheels is controlled by tone rings on the axle shafts or stub shafts and an ABS sensor. Only thing I can think of is the wheel cylinder may have a slightly different bore size.

I've got the rear covered, on the 2000 model, there is a choice for ABS or Non ABS, but on the front, it doesn't specify at all.
So is there a difference in front components? they sure don't say on the site.

By year, front brake components, unit bearings, u-joints, etc. are identical. The only differences are a tone ring on the stub shaft and an ABS sensor.

Gotcha. So most likely the fronts will have a tone ring, but for my application, it'll just be Decoration!
