Questions about potential TJ purchase

Looking at a 2001 sport with 98,871 miles in NC. it had the cylinder head gasket and cooling fan clutch replaced at 90,411 miles and the pinion seal replaced at 55,075 miles. has 32" tires for $9,500.00. should I be worried about engine problems?

Also looking at 2006 Sport with 135,000 miles with 4 speed transmission. for $12,000 this one i'm going to look at. is that too high of a price? If it checks out (Frame that is) what would a good price be. this is at a dealer.

If there is no rust , both prices are in the ball park .

Some members would lean harder to the 01, at the same time 05-06 pcm issues some try to avoid are considered exaggerated.

I wouldn't be worried about the engine as long as it's been maintained and taken care of.

Both seemed to be priced reasonably. The number one thing to look for is rust, as always. Check out the undersides very, very thoroughly. Post pictures!

They look to be the 7” flares. Some states are pretty strict with keeping the tires inside the flare. Needs different tires and a different bumper IMO
