The previous owner of my jeep wiring the overhead sound bar directly to the radio but looking under the driver side dash I see an empty slot for a connection I believe is for the sound bar, can anyone confirm? And if so does anyone know where I can but that connector so I can wire the sound bar to it?

Do you have any specific reason for wanting to wire up your sound bar to an original factory harness? There isn't really much reason to do so if you have a working set up as far as I'm concerned.
If you are deadset on it you have to find a secondhand factory harness, but they are relatively hard to come by and aren't cheap. You can look at the FSM for your specific year to ID the connector.
