At 3 - 3.5 inches of lift, I'm in between the 2 different shock sizes. Thinking about going with the shorter set (2-3 vs. 4-5) and then adding bar pin eliminators in the rear. What's the lesser of two evils? Too long or too short?

The 2-3" would probably be just right for your lift since Rancho shocks run long to begin with. FYI - I had the 2-3" on my 2" lifted Jeep and they were way too long so I traded them in for the 0-2" and they were perfect.

I’ve read this a few times now, which is good since I’m moving to 4” shortly and have the too-long ranchos on too.

Did you still need the bumpstop extensions with those shocks?

The end goal is a roughly 50/50 travel split from normal ride height. If the addition of a BPE on a short shock gets you closer to that than a normally installed shock will, then go for it.

If a 1" body lift was installed, would that eliminate the need for the 1" bump stop extensions?

The bump stops perform 2 tasks, 1) Stopping the tires from hitting the fenders and 2) stopping the shocks for compressing all the way which can damage shocks and shock mounts.

Any chance you have a part number front and rear for those 0-2 inch Ranchos?

Got 2 inch lift springs on the way, but can't find part numbers for the Rancho 0-2 inch shocks.
