Sorry if this has been discussed before but I’m new to jeeps and not sure which Rancho rs5000x shocks will work with my setup. I have a 2002 wrangler sport that I just purchased. I measured the springs and it appears to have a 2 inch suspension lift paired with a 1 inch body lift and 35 inch tires. I’m only seeing rs5000x Ranchos for 0” of lift, and 2.5” of lift. So my question is do I go with the 0” shocks or 2.5”?

Thanks,

0-2" lift, since they run long.
X2, the 2.5" model shocks would be too long. And @KennethS a body lift doesn't affect shock length. P.S. You don't have enough lift/clearance to be running 35's. And is your rear axle the standard Dana 35 or optional Dana 44? A stock Dana 35 is not strong enough to hold together with 35's, they like to snap their axle shafts with that big of a tire.

The springs measured exactly 14 & 10 inches. It has tube fenders that I believe help with clearance. The part number to the shocks referenced in the eBay link are just listed as 0” lift on multiple websites but if there good for up to 2” that’s what I’ll go with.

Thanks

Running boards have been removed since I purchased it.

Thanks to all for the education on shock length.

Does anyone know the approximate length of an appropriate shock for 2" lift? I replaced mine just by measuring the old ones, but there is no guarantee the old ones were the correct length.
